Kissing 2017 Goodbye!

Kissing 2017 Goodbye!

It’s the last day of 2017. Time really flies.

As I’m writing this, it’s 20:30 here in Bangkok. I wanted to put something down before the new year begins. 2017 was a mix of good and bad.

I started the year with an eight-day trip to Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand. The trip was amazing. There were so many things to see and do that I’m already planning to go back again in January 2018.

Then I made a big decision. I changed both my first and last name. After that, life felt a little chaotic for a few months. Haha. I don’t strongly believe in fortune-telling, but many Thai people say your name can affect your life. Who knows?

Work became intense and stressful. It drove me a little crazy. I also ended a one-year relationship. A few months later, I found out he might have cheated on me. That part hurt more than I expected.

On top of that, I had a few small accidents that left me with some blood and pain. Not the best period of the year.

But the last few months have been better. I received some good news and reconnected with a friend I never thought I would see again. My birthday trip to Krabi was peaceful and exactly what I needed. I also learned a few things about myself this year. I’ll share more about that soon.

I’m looking forward to 2018. I might write about my New Year’s resolutions, even though I don’t think they are absolutely necessary. Still, they help me stay motivated.

Happy New Year to everyone reading this. I’ll try to be more active here next year. Just like I say almost every year. LOL.
