Okay, I’ll admit it. I saw Fifty Shades of Grey twice. I never read the book, so I can’t compare the movie to it. I know many people made a big deal about the erotic parts, but to me, the film showed much more than that.

Christian Grey is smart, thoughtful, and sexy. And by sexy, I don’t mean when he’s naked or half-naked on screen. It’s the way he looks at Anastasia, showing how much he wants her. That is sexy. It is also sexy when a guy says he has never done certain things before, but the girl he is with changes him and makes him better. Honestly, if Christian were just a normal guy without the wealth, I would still like him.

I have seen people comment about why Anastasia looks horny all the time. But think about it. When you are falling for someone and you want them, you naturally show it. It excites the other person to know they can turn you on. (Am I right, guys? hehe.) Of course, a virgin or someone super innocent might not understand the erotic parts so well. And to be honest, some scenes were actually quite funny.

What I do not understand is why a man would want to hurt the woman he loves. How is that enjoyable? Okay, spanking, handcuffs, and blindfolds might be acceptable. But hitting with a belt or using other harsh things? That is way too much. On the other hand, I liked the teasing scenes because that is one of the fun parts of being in a relationship.

If you ignore Christian’s dark side and his love for BDSM, I actually see Fifty Shades of Grey as romantic, a little hilarious, and yes, very sexy. I enjoyed it, maybe because I am a sucker for chick flicks. After all, the movie was based on an erotic romance novel. lol

By the way, the soundtrack was amazing. They picked the perfect songs for it.
