In 2013, I stumbled upon a video blog by a guy on YouTube. His content was mostly about dating tips, and I kept watching video after video on his channel. At that time, I had been single for six years, so I was curious to see what he had to offer.
The first step I took was buying his book Get The Guy. After reading it, I realized there were so many things I had been doing wrong when it came to keeping a guy in my life. Instead of drawing them closer, I was actually pushing them further away. That was the moment I decided to try his Get The Guy online program because I wanted to learn more.
I already had some experience dating white men in Bangkok, so I thought I knew a thing or two. But after reading the book and watching the online videos, I suddenly understood why those guys acted the way they did when we were dating. I learned how to read men’s body language and pick up on what they wanted, even by the way they talked to me online before we met in person.
Many men told me they felt intimidated by me. Over the past two years, I had two short relationships that lasted about three months and two months. The first guy was young and not looking for anything serious. The second guy freaked out because things were going too well. And honestly, that made sense because I am not the typical girl who tries to stop him from being himself. My coach always says, “Don’t give him anything to rebel against.” That was why I never had arguments with the guys I dated. But when a man is not ready to commit, he will still break things off out of the blue.
I once tweeted about using a dating coach, and someone got curious about it. I have watched many other dating coaches, but there is only one who really resonates with me and gives me exactly what I need: Matthew Hussey. He is a motivational speaker who not only gives dating advice to women but also shares wisdom about how we can interact with people in all areas of life. His brother, Stephen Hussey, co-wrote the book Get The Guy with him.
Of course, not everything they say applies to every man or every situation, but their advice offers insight into how men think in general.
If you are curious, check out Matthew Hussey’s YouTube channel, Facebook page or follow him on Twitter.
Thanks for reading!
