Vegetables and herbs are definitely not my friends. In fact, I think herbs taste just as bad as vegetables!
A few weeks ago, I was invited to join a Ricola Influencer Event in Bangkok. Ricola is a Swiss herbal candy brand. Before deciding whether to attend the event, I thought I should try the product first. I honestly didn’t expect to buy it… but I did.
Once I confirmed my attendance, the brand sent me a beautiful box filled with Ricola candies in four different flavors for me to try. Thank you!
I have to admit, it didn’t taste bad at all considering each candy contains 13 different natural herbs. The first few times I tried it, I could taste a slight bitterness. But after a while, I got used to it. Now I use it as a breath mint and to soothe my throat. It’s actually cheaper than the brand I used to buy, and I like that it’s made using natural farming methods without chemical pesticides.

The Ricola Influencer Event was held on the rooftop of Hotel Muse in Bangkok. The venue was decorated like a Swiss-style cocktail party. There was food, drinks, and even a charming Swiss man playing instruments and singing throughout the evening.
I had a nice chat with Celeste, the Country Manager for Southeast Asia, along with some of her colleagues. They suggested melting the Original Herb flavor in hot water to make an herbal drink. I found that quite interesting and might try it one day when I need something soothing. They also served Ricola herbal tea during the event.
I was impressed to learn that all Ricola products are made in Switzerland and exported worldwide. These days, many products are advertised as coming from one country but are actually manufactured somewhere else, so this was refreshing to know.
Apart from meeting influencers from Thailand, Singapore, and other countries, there were also fun games with prizes throughout the night.

Ricola has been around since 1930, so you’ve probably heard the famous commercial with the voice singing, “Riiii… co… laaaa.”
If you’ve tried Ricola, let me know your favorite flavor! You can find more information on their Thai website or pick up a pack at 7-Eleven, Tesco, or FamilyMart.
